This is a great serger…I’ve had this same model bought aprox 10 yrs ago from Walmart…it’s simple to use…powerful and an efficient workhorse…its NOT intimidating…especially easy threading… I’m buying it again now as a backup…my original is still working and has only been serviced once for a blade change..its nice to have another serger set-up with a different color or type of thread to speed thru several sewing projects at the same time… Since this machine uses regular sewing machine needles they are easy to find…I change needles according to fabric…stretch or ballpoint for knits and consider the weight…thickness and density of the fabric… It works well on woven and knits…layers of denim or canvas to tissue thin rayon knit…it can do rolled edges and several other stitches…having a differential feed and the ability to drop the knife easily is a plus that makes it versatile and quick… Keeping my machine vacuumed and oiled after projects has kept it in excellent condition…this is easy to do…lots of YouTube videos using and maintaining this serger,..
